It is my new fascination. The idea that life can exist so effortlessly in such extreme environments is truly inspirational. These little guys are almost like Shinto spirits of the underwater volcanoes. Living off of the most basic forms of bacteria that come right out of the ground above the pacific-ocean ridge, or the “ribbon of life”. Underwater exploration is revealing the most exciting discoveries of our time, and I can’t wait to see what they find next!
